The Palms

We had a great get away for Memorial weekend with our family (Nana & Popi Halloran, Matt, Jennifer, Avery & Halle, Michale, Laura & Hunter) at Gaylord Palms or "The Palms" as the girls call it. Lots of sunshine and swimming. Hunter was off a bit for his normal naps and sleeping at night was rough for him, but he was still a little trooper and it was a good getaway nonetheless. LOTS of great pics. (Stole some from Jen.Thanks!):) ENJOY!

California Toe Jam

Saturday evening we enjoyed The California Toe Jam Band for Music In The Park at the Hammock. My whole fam came down and we enjoyed a yummy picnic dinner while we listen to the guys in the band play some fun oldies songs. We got a kick out of all the old timers getting up and breaking it down. As well as the little tots in the front bustin' a move. (Angie S. your kids were hilarious!)The place was packed but I think all there had a great time. If you've not been before you should pencil it in for next time. Great family fun.

Friday Night Live

Mic & I were wanting to get out of town for the evening so we headed up to Lake Wales to hang with the fam. We played at the mall with Avery and Halle (Hunter's cousins). Then we went down town for "Friday Night Live" at Lake Wales Care Center's open coffee house. Known by the locals as " Toy World". It is an old downtown building (old toy store) that has been renovated and is such a cool venue. Friday nights they have free live entertainment that differs week to week from improve comedy, local bands, drum circles, ect.

Avery & Halle on the carousel with Crazy Uncle Mic.
We be jammin'
Hunt even got to jam in the drum circle too!
Mic found a guitar in the corner.. so he started picin' n' grinin' :)
My favorite part of the evening was back at Mic's parents. Avery (5) was helping me give Hunter a bath and it went something like this...."Aunt La you know what?"...."What's that Avery?"..."I wish I had my own phone."...."Tell me why you wish you had your own phone"..."So I could call you!" It was so sweet the way she said it and I loved it. I told her she could call me whenever she wanted to if her mommy said it was ok. Thanks Avery for making me feel special!

Hunter Happenings

We are just a few weeks away from Hunter's First birthday. Thought I would update on his latest and greatest. He is crawling all over the house and pulling up trying to climb on everything. He is FAST! Even with his peg leg pirate crawl. LOVES chasing and trying to tackle Baxter. He is working on standing up alone and trying to take a step or two. Still a champ with two naps a day and sleeping through the night just fine. LOVES to eat big people food, especially if he gets to feed himself, I think mac and cheese is his fav right now. Loves be in the water, tub or pool. SPLASH SPLASH! He likes to wrestle with daddy on the floor after work. He is just a happy happy little guy and I can't believe a year has come and gone already. A few other of Hunter's favs.......
Cedermont Kids: Toddler Tunes-loves it!
Swinging with Bauer Power and Ellie Bell
Saturday mornings at DOTS flirting with the waitresses
Working up something FIERCE haha
Climbing and beating on Baxie's kennel Oh yeah....STILL NO TEETH! haha

Mother's Day

We spent most of last Sunday in St. Pete with my family at Walsingham Park. All the Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and more cousins were there. Even Great Grandma Kistner who is 92(i think). We chowed down on yummy burgers and dogs with all the other fun goodies that were brought to share. Uncle Bk (my brother Brian) had spent the night and gone to church with us that morning and then rode over with Mic, Hunter and I. We had fun harassing him about all kinds of stuff. He is so fun to pick on. Walsingham Park is a great location for our family get togethers and they have such a great play ground. It was a great day being all together.

Girls Night @ Bok Symphony

Saturday night I met some girl friends from college at Bok Tower's Concert Under the Stars for a bridal shower for Sandra Lee! YAY SANDRA! We had a picnic shower while listening to the Imperial Symphony Orchestra.
There is a picnic display contest during the evening for most elegant, most original and best overall. Sandra's Picnic Bridal shower won best overall! YAY!(Great job Erin and Callie for planning this long distance from Kansas and West Palm!) We had a great time catching up and sharing in Sandra's upcoming wedding. She is the final of "the fab four" (my college house mates) to wed and we are happy that it is her turn!

Warner University

Friday evening past Michael and I were invited to a special 40th anniversary dinner at Warner Southern College. We thought it would be nice to go to a special event with other adults and it turned out to be a nice evening. There were guest speakers who were alumni from all of the different decades of Warner.

*President Hall announced that from now forward the college will be recognized as Warner University!

*Since ruby signifies 40 years guests were asked to wear something red.

*The event closed with Rodney, Micky and Nikki singing Doxology accapella. WOW!!!!

Michael and I enjoyed seeing old friends, alumni and professors. It was a nice evening out...Congrats Warner University!
